If you would like to think about and discuss the Christian faith, then this group is for you. No question is too simple or too hostile. No previous experience is necassry. This is an informal opportunity to find out more about Jesus Christ and the difference he makes to the world and your life. We will be starting our next exploring Christianity group on Tuesday 11 January. Please get in touch if you'd like to join.
In the bible, fellowship has two meanings:
- The sharing of life with fellow believers (see, e.g., Acts 2:42)
- Our union with Jesus Christ (see, e.g., 1 Corinthians 1:9)
Fellowship groups at Christ Church aim to deepen both of these.
We spend time together in small groups; loving, caring and sharing with each other.
We deepen our love for and faith in Jesus as we look at the bible and pray.
We encourage each other to live lives of worship to God.
Fellowship groups meet on Tuesdays at 7:30-9pm. There is also a group for women, with a creche if required, on Thursdays at 10-11:30am.
Prayer and Praise
Each half term we gather for an evening of prayer and praise. We sing together, hear from a member of our church family about their faith, and pray for our world and our church life together.
Worshipping God through music and song is an important part of the Christian life. Our Sunday services include hymns and songs led by our excellent music group.
Our music group rehearses on Thursday evenings and welcomes any new members who would like to join them.
The Christ Church fantasy football league is now in it's 15th season! The season lasts from August to May and provides endless excitement and interest all the way through. A weekly newsletter is produced by League Manager, which keeps you up-to-date on the success of your team and our league. We also meet for a social evening on a monthly basis where we hand out the Manager of the Month award and enjoy a simple ‘bring and share’ supper. It is free to join, so get in touch if you'd like more information. You don't need to be a ‘football anorak’. It’s fun for everybody, not least those who find themselves beating professed football experts!
