Children and Young People

Sunday Children's Groups

Our crèche and children's groups take place during our Sunday 10:30 services.

Everyone begins and ends the service together in church. Part way though the service children leave for their groups. There is a supervised creche for younger children in a room within the church building. A group for children of primary school age meets in the church hall. These groups have lots of fun together and learn about our faith in Jesus in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

Christ Church Youth

A group for anyone of high school age who wants to deepen their faith in Jesus or ask questions about Christianity.

Christ Church Youth meets regularly over tea and coffee time after our Sunday services to discuss the sermon. The groups also gets together once a half term to hang out for an evening.

Local Schools, Nurseries and Uniformed Organisations

Through our community links we have regular contact with Kingsway Primary School, Davyhulme Primary School, Stay and Play Playgroup, Orangutan Nursery, and Canterbury Road Day Nursery. Visits to the church are made as part of the RE Curriculum, for the Come to the Crib service for the under fives and for the Christmas Light service for children in Key Stage 1.

We also have links with the local scouts and guide groups. The 7th Davyhulme Brownies and 4th Davyhulme Guides meet in our church hall.
