Baptisms at Christ Church

Congratulations on considering baptism, it is one of the most important decisions which you can take, either for yourself or for a child.

Baptism for babies and children takes place in a service often called a Christening. In this service parents thank God for his gift of life, make a decision to start their child on a journey of faith and godparents promise help and support. The church also promises to welcome the child and to pray for the family.

For your child, being baptized or Christened marks the start of a lifelong journey of faith as part of the local and worldwide Christian family.

We  would be delighted to help as you consider baptism and you can be assured of a warm welcome at Christ Church.

Here are some comments from a family who had a baptism recently:

We would like to thank you all for your help and conducting our daughter's christening in Sunday. It was very beautiful, not too churchie (words on sheet) and Karen made it lively and fun for all. We all Especially Loved the way she was showing Aaliyah around and how she made everyone feel warm and welcome by getting them all involved at the same time. It was the talk of the afternoon!
Also brought back memories of mine as a child singing the last song.
Once again thanks all so much, really appreciated the fact you fitted us in on Palm Sunday.
Enjoy your Easter celebrations
Kind regards
Jones family
